Suspect Wanted for Aggravated Assault on Old Gentilly Road

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in identifying and locating a subject who is wanted in connection with an aggravated assault incident that occurred in the Third District.

On March 29, 2019 at or around 9:48 p.m., the unknown subject attempted to shoplift items from a Family Dollar located in the 4500 block of Old Gentilly Road. The subject was confronted by the employee, at which time the subject dropped the items, brandished a knife and then fled the scene on a bicycle.

The perpetrator is described as a 40-year-old Hispanic male with a gray beard and weighs approximately 120 pounds. He was last seen wearing a brown hat, a black hoodie and blue jeans.
