NOPD Seeking Suspects in Fourth District Hit & Run Crash Involving Theft, Stolen Vehicle

The NOPD is seeking to locate and identify two subjects seen on video surveillance in commission of a hit-and-run crash on April 8, 2019 with a vehicle found to have been reported stolen on April 7.

At approximately 1:30 p.m. on April 7, the victim’s purse containing her car keys and driver’s license was taken from the Walmart located in the 4000 block of Behrman Place. Later that day, at approximately 10:54 p.m., the victim’s black 2004 Mazda 6 bearing Louisiana license plate NUF254, was taken from the 1000 block of Southlawn Boulevard.

At approximately 8:20 a.m. on April 8, the victim’s stolen vehicle was involved in a hit and run crash in the 3400 block of Wall Boulevard. Through investigation, detectives learned the incident was captured on surveillance video. Two unknown subjects, depicted in the image above and on video, were seen exiting the vehicle and running westbound on Wall Boulevard after the crash. The stolen vehicle was recovered on scene.
