NOPD Searching for Suspect in Eighth District Identity Theft and Possession of Stolen Property

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Victor Bailey (DOB: 02-15-1984) in connection with an identity theft and possession of stolen property incident reported on April 7, 2019.

The victim discovered his business checks were taken from a community mail box at his residence in the 1100 block of Decatur Street. The victim’s bank reported that one of the victim’s checks was cashed for more than $900. Through investigation, detectives determined that Bailey was the individual who allegedly used the victim’s stolen check to make the purchase.

When located, Bailey will be arrested for felony identity theft and illegal possession of stolen things.

Detectives also learned that Bailey is wanted in both St. Charles Parish and in the City of Kenner, and that Bailey has stated to friends that he has purchased a firearm and has made threats to harm people.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Victor Bailey is asked to contact NOPD Eighth District detectives at 504-658-6080, or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
