NOPD Quickly Apprehends Suspect in Seventh District Aggravated Battery

The NOPD quickly arrested Gordon Johnson (DOB: 12-15-1964) in connection with an aggravated battery reported on April 20, 2019 in the 4700 block of Shalimar Drive.

Johnson allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim in the 4700 block of Shalimar Drive. Johnson is believed to have then produced a switchblade knife and began to swing at the victim, striking the victim several times.

Johnson was located soon after and apprehended by NOPD Seventh District officers without incident at the intersection of Downman and Dwyer roads. He was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for aggravated battery.
