The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for David Haynes (DOB: 09-01-1988) in the investigation of an aggravated battery incident that occurred on April 9, 2019 at the intersection of Berkley Drive and Mansfield Avenue.

At about 3:00 a.m., the victim and Haynes were reportedly engaged in a verbal argument after the victim intervened in a domestic dispute. During the argument, Haynes allegedly grabbed the victim and attempted to throw him on the ground. Haynes then reportedly picked up a glass bottle and struck the victim in the face, causing a large laceration on the victim’s cheek. Haynes then reportedly chased the victim with the broken bottle before entering the victim’s vehicle and fleeing the scene.

When located, Haynes will be arrested for aggravated second degree battery, aggravated assault and theft of a motor vehicle.
