NOPD Arrests Suspects for Illegal Possession of Firearms, Other Charges in Eighth District
The NOPD arrested two individuals after each was found to be in illegal possession of a handgun while on Bourbon Street in respective incidents.
 
Those arrested include the following:
 
Jeremy St. Pierre (pictured above at left, DOB: 10-01-1997), who was arrested on April 14, 2019. At about 9:49 p.m., NOPD Eighth District Bourbon Promenade officers were patrolling in the 500 block of Bourbon Street when they arrested St. Pierre for possession of a firearm on the premises of an alcoholic beverage outlet and for felon in possession of a firearm. Officers relocated St. Pierre to the Eighth District station. He was later transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center, where he was booked accordingly.
 
Cleveland Ford (pictured above, at right: DOB: 09-19-1996), who was arrested on April 16, 2019. At about 1:55 a.m., NOPD Eighth District Bourbon Promenade officers were patrolling in the 500 block of Bourbon Street when they noticed a subject with a visible bulge underneath his shirt and above his waistline. The officers believed the subject, later identified as Ford, was in possession of a concealed firearm.  Upon further investigation, the subject was found to have a completely concealed handgun which contained one magazine with live rounds. The handgun was found to be concealed under the subject’s shirt inside of the waistband area of his jeans.  The subject did not have a concealed carry permit. A search incident to arrest yielded a hand rolled cigar containing marijuana. The officers relocated the subject to the Eighth District station. He was later transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center and booked for illegal carry of a firearm and illegal possession of marijuana.
