The NOPD has arrested a 16-year-old juvenile male suspect in the investigation of an aggravated assault with a firearm which occurred on April 9, 2019 in the 7800 block of Sail Street.
The arrested juvenile subject had reportedly engaged in a verbal altercation with the victim. The juvenile reportedly knocked on the window of the vehicle the victim was sitting in and told her to get out. When she refused, the juvenile suspect left and returned with a firearm and pointed it at the victim. The victim was able to flee the location in her vehicle.
During investigation, the juvenile suspect was positively identified as the perpetrator and later arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center on a charge of aggravated assault with a firearm.
