The NOPD has arrested Cecil Tippett (DOB: 01-23-1948) in connection with an aggravated assault with a firearm incident on April 22, 2018 in the 3600 block of Texas Drive.
The victim told police that at about 5:00 p.m., he was walking near an elevator bank on the first floor of a building when he was approached by an individual he later identified as Tippett. The victim said that Tippett claimed the victim was entering his residence without his permission, at which time Tippett allegedly produced a handgun and pointed it at the victim. Tippett then allegedly entered an elevator and fled the scene.
Officers located Tippett inside of his residence on April 23 and arrested him for aggravated assault with a firearm.
