NOPD Seeking Vehicle of Interest in Homicide in Sixth District

The NOPD is seeking information concerning a vehicle of interest in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on April 18, 2018 at the intersection of First Street and South Claiborne Avenue.

At about 3:37 p.m., Sixth District officers responded to a call of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered an unresponsive male lying in the neutral ground and suffering from multiple apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital via EMS, where he was pronounced dead.

Witnesses reported seeing the pictured vehicle fleeing the scene of this incident. The vehicle appears to be a dark gray Acura sedan. The vehicle was last seen fleeing the scene southbound onto Philip Street against traffic.
