NOPD Investigates Aggravated Assault Incident in Fourth District

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating Howard Stewart (DOB: 09-11-1980) who is wanted for threatening a victim with a knife during a verbal altercation.

On Wednesday, (April 25) at or around 8 p.m. the subject arrived at the victim’s residence, located in the 1600 block of Elizardi Boulevard, at which time the two engaged in a verbal altercation over car keys. Stewart then picked up a knife and held it up in his right hand while demanding the keys. The subject poked the victim on her arm with the knife. The victim then ran out of the house and called for help.

The subject was last seen wearing a white shirt with blue jeans.
