The NOPD is investigating a fatal vehicle crash that occurred today, April 29, 2017, in the 10800 block of Chef Menteur Highway, that claimed the life of a 32-year-old male driver.

At about 4:52 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers received a call relative to a vehicle crash in the area. The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead on the scene, his passenger was transported via EMS to a local hospital.

The driver and passenger of the Nissan Maxima were also transported to a local hospital.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name, upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
