NOPD Seeking Vehicle of Interest in Fatal Hit-and-Run Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating a vehicle of interest in the ongoing investigation of a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on September 21, 2023, at the intersection of North Claiborne Avenue and Saint Philip Street.

At about 11:57 p.m. on September 21, a pedestrian was struck by a passing vehicle at the intersection of North Claiborne Avenue and St. Philip Street. The victim was transported to the hospital, where hewas later pronounced deceased.  The perpetrator vehicle was described as a Nissan 350-Z or 370-Z model.

The pictured vehicle was seen on video surveillance in the vicinity of the crash and showing damage consistent with what would have been sustained by the perpetrator vehicle.
