NOPD Seeking Suspect in First District Theft

 The NOPD is looking for a suspect wanted in connection with a theft investigation in the First District.

On September 2, 2023, the victim reported $50,000 in custom jewelry had been stolen from her jewelry box at her residence in the 1400 block of North Miro Street.

Through investigation, Gloria R. Calhoun, (pictured, black female, DOB: 5-30-1990) was identified as the alleged perpetrator of this incident while babysitting at the residence.  Calhoun allegedly pawned the stolen jewelry at various Orleans and Jefferson Parish Pawn Shops.

She was last seen driving a 2002 black Jeep Liberty with Louisiana license plate number 270GQG.

Upon arrest, Calhoun will be booked with theft over $25,000 and illegal possession of stolen things.

All persons as presumed to be innocent until proven guilty.
