The NOPD is requesting assistance from the public in identifying and locating a suspect in the investigation of an armed robbery that occurred on September 18, 2023, in the 1400 block of North Broad Street.
At about 6:50 a.m., the pictured unknown black male reportedly entered a business and asked for various items. The subject then allegedly produced a large knife while the cashier was away from the counter. The subject then reportedly placed the cashier into a headlock and began to point the knife at her while demanding money from a register. The subject retrieved approximately cash from the cash register and fled the store.
It should be noted that the cashier described the subject as speaking in a foreign accent
