NOPD Identifies Suspect Wanted in Fourth District Aggravated Burglary

The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Oljuawon Nicholas (pictured, black male, DOB: 01-22-1987) in the investigation of an aggravated burglary incident that occurred on September 5, 2023, in the 1400 block of Farragut Street.

At about 4:30 p.m. on September 5, Nicholas allegedly arrived at the victim’s residence, gained unauthorized entry through the front door and relocated to the victim’s bedroom, where he began to argue with the victim while their 1-year-old daughter was asleep. As the victim reportedly attempted to gain distance from Nicholas, Nicholas allegedly attempted to strangle the victim. Nicholas then reportedly pointed a firearm at the victim and threatened to kill her, before then allegedly taking the victim’s phone and throwing it through a window. Nicholas then reportedly fled the scene in the pictured gray Infiniti sedan bearing Louisiana license plate 706GBU.

Nicholas is currently wanted in this incident on charges including aggravated burglary (domestic), violation of protective orders, aggravated assault-child endangerment, domestic abuse battery-child endangerment, and simple criminal damage to property (domestic).

All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
