NOPD Seeking Suspect, Vehicle in Hit-and-Run Incident

The NOPD is requesting assistance from the public in locating and identifying a suspect in the investigation of a hit-and-run crash on September 7, 2022, at the intersection of North Broad and Republic streets.

At about 1:56 p.m., the victim had exited an RTA bus at the location and was running across the street in front of the bus when the pictured dark-colored Dodge truck struck the victim. The suspect is described as a middle-aged black male with a bald head and thin build. The vehicle is described as a dark-colored Dodge pick-up with no tailgate, damage to the right rear quarter panel and having a Saints football jersey over the front passenger seat.
