NOPD Searching for Suspect, Juvenile Taken in Simple Kidnapping Incident

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating a juvenile female reportedly taken in a simple kidnapping incident on September 26, 2022. The incident is believed to be domestic in nature and the juvenile is not believed to be in immediate danger.

The legal guardian (relative) of 3-year-old Jream Macklin (pictured, black female) stated that on at about 11:30 a.m. on September 26, Macklin’s biological mother, Addinesha Estem (not pictured, black female, DOB: 08-30-1989) arrived at the guardian and Macklin’s residence. Once there, Estem allegedly took Macklin without permission and fled the location on foot.

Macklin is described as standing about 3’0” and weighing about 63 pounds with medium-length black hair. She was last seen wearing a multi-colored pink onesie with a unicorn hood. No clothing description was provided for Estem.

Estem is described as standing about 5’5” with a thin build, brown complexion and having long burgundy and gold braided hair.

When located, Estem will be arrested on charges of interference with the custody of a child and for simple criminal damage to property, as Estem allegedly damaged items in the residence during the incident.

Anyone with additional information on the whereabouts of Jream Macklin and/or Addinesha Estem is urged to contact NOPD First District detectives at 504-658-6010, or to call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
