NOPD Seeking Vehicle, Suspects in Third District Shooting

The NOPD is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle used in the commission of an aggravated battery by shooting at the intersection of Paris Avenue and Lafreniere Street on September 27, 2020.

At about 3:35 pm, the victim reportedly parked his vehicle at the intersection. A silver, late model Jeep Compass (pictured) then approached the victim’s vehicle from the rear and at least two of the Jeep’s occupants fired several gunshots into the victim’s vehicle. The victim drove away from the perpetrators, fleeing south on Paris Avenue and then west onto North Broad Street. The perpetrators followed behind the victim and continued to fire multiple gunshots into the victim’s vehicle before disengaging and fleeing at the intersection with Ursulines Avenue.

Anyone with additional information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Third District detectives at 504-658-6030 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans at 504-822-1111 or toll-free 1-877-903-STOP.
