Suspects Arrested in Simple Robbery on Garden Oaks Drive

UPDATE: Both Brittiny Williams and Keyonita Thomas have been arrested. Williams was charged with principal to simple robbery and Thomas was charged with simple robbery.

ORIGINAL RELEASE: The NOPD has obtained arrest warrants for Brittiny Williams (pictured at left, DOB: 01-26-1992) and Keyonita Thomas (pictured at right, DOB: 12-04-1985) in connection with a simple robbery incident that occurred on September 18, 2018 in the 3600 block of Garden Oaks Drive.

Through investigation, detectives learned that at about 5:50 a.m., the victim was awakened by a knocking on her front door by the two pictured subjects. The victim allowed the subjects into the residence. At that time, the subjects reportedly requested money form the victim, to which she replied that she did not have money to give. Thomas then allegedly twisted the victim’s wrist and forcefully took cash from the victim’s hand, while Williams reportedly watched and made no effort to intervene. The subjects then fled the residence together.

When located, Williams will be arrested and charged with principal to simple robbery, while Thomas will be arrested for simple robbery.

Anyone with information on this incident or the whereabouts of the two pictured individuals is asked to contact NOPD Fourth District detectives at 504-658-6040 or call anonymously to Crimestoppers at 504-822-1111 or toll-free at 1-877-903-STOP.
