Suspect Arrested in Connection with Three Armed Robbery Incidents

On September 19, 2018, NOPD Seventh District detectives and members of the NOPD’s Tactical Intelligence Gathering and Enforcement Response Unit (TIGER) arrested Herbert Gorman (DOB: 03-09-1965) in connection with three armed robbery incidents.

Through investigation, Seventh District detectives and TIGER Unit investigators were able to connect three separate armed robberies to having been committed by the same individual. These incidents include reported armed robbery incidents on September 17, 2018 in the 5500 block of Crowder Boulevard and in the 6500 block of Downman Road, and a reported armed robbery incident on September 18, 2018 in the 7000 block of Bullard Avenue.

Further investigation led detectives to determine Gorman to be the perpetrator in each of the listed incidents.

Gorman was located and apprehended without incident by TIGER Unit members on September 19. He was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for three counts of armed robbery with a handgun, along with one count of aggravated second degree battery in connection with the Crowder Boulevard incident

Anyone with additional information on these incidents is asked to contact Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
