The NOPD is seeking to identify a subject believed to be responsible for a simple robbery incident that occurred on September 8, 2018 at the intersection of Westbend Parkway and Vespasian Boulevard.

Through investigation, detectives learned that the victim was waiting for an RTA bus at about 6:14 a.m. when an unknown black male rode up behind her on a bicycle and demanded her purse. The unknown male allegedly concealed his right hand inside of a black bag, but the victim never observed a weapon. The victim handed her purse to the subject. He then snatched her cellphone she was holding. The subject then reportedly fled the location on the bicycle in a northbound direction on Westbend Parkway, then unknown.
