NOPD Arrest Suspect in Aggravated Battery by Shooting Incident

NOPD officers have arrested Ruben Mack (DOB: 02/15/1962) in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting incident that occurred in the 6200 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

Seventh District Task Force Officers were patrolling in the area of Chef Menteur Highway when they observed a subject that fit the description of a person wanted for second degree aggravated battery and illegal discharge of a firearm that occurred on August 29, 2018. 

During the course of the investigation, officers positively identified Mack as the perpetrator in this incident. The subject was apprehended on Septemeber 3, 2018, near the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Majestic Oaks Street. 

Mack was transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center, where he was booked with aggravated second degree battery and illegal discharge of a firearm.
