The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public in locating a vehicle that was reported stolen in an armed carjacking on September 7, 2017 in the 4800 block of Sierra Madre Drive.
At about 1:45 a.m., the victim was exiting his red 2016 Kia Forte bearing Louisiana license plate 474AAE when he was approached by two armed black male subjects. The two subjects demanded the victim’s keys, to which the victim complied. The subjects then entered the victim’s vehicle and fled south on Sierra Madre Drive.
Further description of the vehicle includes its license plate in a damaged condition and a dent in the driver’s side of the front bumper.
A picture is included of a vehicle similar in color, year, make and model to the vehicle reported stolen in this incident.
