The NOPD Homicide Unit is seeking assistance from the public in locating Jude Franklin (DOB: 08-14-1986) for second degree murder in connection with the homicide of Nickaulaus Collins that occurred on August 7, 2017.
At about 9:17 p.m., Second District officers responded to calls of shots fired at the intersection of South Prieur and General Taylor Streets. Upon arrival, officers located 26- year-old Collins suffering from gunshot wounds in the 4200 block of South Prieur Street.
During the course of the investigation, homicide detectives developed Franklin as the perpetrator in the incident.
