Suspect Arrested for Aggravated Assault on Crowder Boulevard

The NOPD Seventh District has arrested Kenyatta Dearmas (DOB: 12/31/86) today (Sept. 28) after he reportedly pulled out a gun on a victim in the 7100 block of Crowder Boulevard.  

The victim told police on September 27, 2017 Dearmas tried to talk to her friend and get her name. When the victim's friend refuse to talk to Dearmas, he became upset and started yelling at the victim. During the altercation, he produced a firearm where he activated the laser light and waved it at the victim before fleeing the scene.

He was arrested and booked with aggravated assault with a firearm and illegal carrying of a weapon. Officers also recovered the firearm during the arrest.
