NOPD Service Weapon Taken in Residential Burglary on Curran Boulevard

The NOPD is seeking assistance from the public on any information regarding a residential burglary after an NOPD service gun was taken from an officer’s apartment.

On September 1, 2017 at around 10 a.m., the victim returned home to his apartment at the Carriage House apartments and discovered his weapon and items missing. The New Orleans Police Officer’s Glock model 22 bearing serial number NO0059PD, a black Safariland  level 3 holster, 2 magazines holding 15 rounds, and a total of 45, .40 caliber, hollow point Speer Gold Dot brand of ammunition was stolen from inside the officer’s apartment.
