The NOPD is investigating a murder that occurred tonight (September 3, 2016) near the intersection of Clio and South Tonti Streets.
At about 10:16 p.m., Sixth District officers responded to a call of shots fired in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered an uresponsive victim in the 1100 block of South Tonti Street with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Investigation into the incident is ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
