The NOPD is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a subject wanted in connection with a second degree battery that occurred in the Eighth District.
On September 24, 2023 around 12:30 a.m., the victim, an adult male, was walking in the 500 block of Frenchman Street when he accidentally stepped on the perpetrator's shoe as he was walking past.
According to investigators, the perpetrator came up to the victim from behind and punched him, causing him to fall. The perpetrator then punched the victim several more times causing him to lose consciousness.
The perpetrator (pictured on the right), and his accomplice, then walked away heading into the French Quarter.
