Person of Interest Sought for Questioning in NOPD Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is requesting assistance in locating a person of interest for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on April 30, 2022, in the 4400 block of Dauphine Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have developed Josue Santiago (pictured, Hispanic male, DOB: 05-01-1998, aka “Puerto Rican Josh”) as a person of interest in this case. Santiago is not currently wanted on criminal charges regarding this incident. However, detectives feel that he may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
