Person of Interest Sought for Questioning in NOPD Homicide Investigation

The NOPD is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a subject identified as a person of interest for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a homicide on October 13, 2021 in the 2100 block of Conti Street.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives have identified Donnell James (pictured, black male, DOB; 01-15-1986) as a person of interest in this investigation. James is not currently wanted on criminal charges. However, detectives feel that he has knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
