NOPD Investigating Homicide in the First District

New Orleans – The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred today (October 11, 2020) in the 900 block of North Robertson Street. 

At around 8:29 p.m., NOPD First District officers patrolling the area nearby heard shots fired.  When officers arrived at the location, they observed an unknown male suffering from a gunshot wound(s).  The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive.  No additional details are available at this time. 

The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
