The NOPD has arrested Ronald Sewell (pictured, DOB: 03-24-1979) in connection with a homicide by shooting that occurred on May 31, 2018 in the 3900 block of Downman Road.
Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit cold case detectives were able to positively identify Sewell as a suspect in this investigation. An arrest warrant for Sewell was obtained on October 16, 2020, and Sewell was located and arrested on October 23. He was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center on one count of second-degree murder.
