The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Assata Redmon (DOB: 03-02-1998) in the investigation of a shoplifting and battery that occurred on October 5, 2019.
Through investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives determined that at approximately 3:33 p.m., Redmon entered the Dollar General store in the 6500 block of Downman Road and then left the store in possession of unpurchased merchandise from the store. Redmon then reportedly returned to the inside of the business several times and eventually uses pepper spray to commit battery on multiple subjects.
