NOPD Arrests Suspects for Illegal Concealed Firearms in Eighth District

The NOPD arrested suspects in two recent respective incidents involving illegal possession of concealed firearms in the Eighth District.

On October 4, 2019, at about 12:00 p.m., NOPD Eighth District Task Force detectives arrested Zachary Vickers (DOB: 10-24-1995) and Paul Hebert (DOB: 09-26-1995) at the intersection of Bourbon and Conti streets. Both incidents were charged with illegal carrying of a concealed firearm after the detectives discovered Vickers in possession of a loaded handgun, while Hebert was also found to be concealing a loaded handgun.

On October 6, 2019, at or about 11:45 p.m., NOPD Eighth District Task Force detectives arrested Treston Irving (DOB: 10-18-1994) and Jamal Irving (DOB: 09-14-1996) in the 500 block of Bourbon Street. Both subjects were charged with illegal possession of marijuana and illegal carrying of a concealed firearm after detectives discovered them to be in possession of concealed loaded handguns and marijuana. Additionally, detectives found the handgun in Irving’s possession had been reported stolen out of Amite, LA. Because of this, Irving was additionally charged with illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

The arrested suspects in these incidents were transported to the Orleans Parish Justice Center and booked accordingly.
