NOPD Arrests Suspect in Seventh District Armed Robbery

The NOPD has arrested Allen Floyd (pictured, DOB: 08-18-1998) in the investigation of an armed robbery on October 8, 2019

The incident occurred at about 5:07 p.m., in the 6000 block of Chef Menteur Highway. The victim was able to provide a description of the suspect’s vehicle to NOPD Seventh District officers, who discovered the vehicle in the area and attempted to conduct a traffic stop. Upon the male driver – later identified as Floyd – seeing police, he began throwing items out of the car window before eventually stopping and surrendering to police.

Floyd was arrested and booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for armed robbery, illegal carrying of a weapon, simple burglary and possession of stolen property.

Anyone with additional information on this incident is asked to contact NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
