Two subjects wanted in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting in the Eighth District have been arrested in Tennessee.

The U.S. Marshals Service in Tennessee arrested Byron Wilson (Male, DOB: 09-21-1998) and Derrion Robinson (Female, DOB: 12-13-1997) in connection with an aggravated battery by shooting incident that occurred on September 23, 2018 in the 600 block of Canal Street.

Wilson and Robinson were apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Franklin, Tenn., which is just south of Nashville.

The U. S Marshals Service in New Orleans and the NOPD VOWS Unit developed information that traced the pair to Franklin, Tenn. That information was then sent to the U.S. Marshals Middle Tennessee Joint Fugitive Task Force.

Pair was located in Franklin. A perimeter was set up at the location with assistance from officers from the Franklin Tennessee Police Department.

Wilson attempted to escape, but abandoned that effort after being challenged by officers at the scene.

Wilson and Robinson are awaiting extradition in Tennessee. the pair will be sent back to New Orleans to face charges related to the Canal Street incident.

Two victims were injured in the incident. One was injured by gunfire. The second victim is not believed to have been injured by gunfire.

Officers learned that an altercation among a group of unknown individuals began just before the women were injured. Video taken by a witness at the scene shows a black male subject firing a handgun, before the subject fled the scene. Wilson was identified as the alleged shooter.

Robinson allegedly directed Wilson to shoot during the incident.
