Suspect Identified in Armed Robbery on Royal Street

Suspect Identified in Armed Robbery on Royal Street

NOPD Eighth District detectives have identified Destiny Dennies Lacourse (DOB: 08/01/1991) as the suspected perpetrator in an armed robbery that occurred on September 7, 2018, in the 500 block of Royal Street.

At about 5:30 p.m., the pictured perpetrator committed an armed robbery with a gun on a business in the 500 block of Royal Street. The perpetrator was described as a white female with a pale complexion, approximately 5’4” inches in height with a slender build, possibly in her late 20s to early 30s, possibly having multiple tattoos on her arms. She was also described as having scabs or scars around her mouth. She is believed to have been wearing a wig in the included photographs.

Through investigation, detectives developed Lacourse as the suspected perpetrator in this incident.

Lacourse is believed to frequently dons wigs of varying color and length, as well as to wear glasses, to alter her appearance. She is also described as having marks on her arms consistent with habitual drug use.

An arrest warrant has been filed for Lacourse for armed robbery with a firearm.
