WANTED: NOPD Searches for Subject in Eighth District Attempted Armed Robbery

The NOPD is searching for a subject wanted for an attempted armed robbery that occurred on October 4, 2018 at 7:05 p.m. in the 200 block of South Saratoga Street.

 

The victim was standing outside when the subject, described as an unknown black male, walked up to him and asked for a cigarette. The victim said no to the male subject, who then walked away.

 

The wanted subject returned and produced a black firearm in his right hand and stated “Give me your money.” The victim refused and began to yell for police, at which time the wanted subject fled east on South Saratoga Street. The subject entered an unknown dark-colored sedan parked on Cleveland Street, and fled the scene in an unknown direction.

 

The wanted subject is described as a black male with a dark complexion, believed to be in his 40s. He is further described as standing around 5'9" tall and weighing around 190 pounds.
