ARRESTED: NOPD Quickly Apprehends Suspect in Armed Robberies on North I-10 Service Road

The NOPD has arrested Erick Landers (DOB: 03-09-2001) in connection with a pair of armed robberies that occurred on October 23, 2018 in the 12300 block of N. I-10 Service Road.

At approximately 3:50 p.m., an unknown male - later positively identified as Landers -reportedly approached the victim outside of her residence, produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s money. The victim then informed the subject she did have any money, at which time he was said to have fled the scene.

Minutes later, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Landers is suspected of having approached another victim at the aforementioned location. The subject again allegedly produced a handgun and demanded another victim’s property. The victim complied and Landers allegedly fled the scene with the victim’s property.

While responding to the incidents, NOPD Seventh District officers reportedly observed Landers fleeing the scene and, after a brief foot pursuit, apprehended Landers in the 7000 block of Bullard Avenue.

Landers was booked into the Orleans Parish Justice Center for armed robbery with a firearm, attempted armed robbery with a firearm and resisting arrest by flight.

Anyone with additional information on these incidents is asked to contact NOPD Seventh District detectives at 504-658-6070.
