Stolen Handgun, Cocaine Found on Suspect in Seventh District

NOPD Seventh District officers arrested Travis Clark (DOB: 01-06-82) on Wednesday (Oct. 4) after he was found to be in possession of a stolen handgun and drugs.

At about 1:31 p.m., Detective Alexander Kelly and Stephen Stephano conducted a suspicious person stop on Clark regarding a possible drug law violation in the 4800 block of Brittany Court.  As the investigation progressed, Clark was found to be in possession of cocaine, marijuana, tramadol, a blue steel Cherokee Arms 9mm semi-automatic handgun and cash.

Through the course of the investigation, detectives discovered the handgun was reported stolen out of Jefferson Parish.

Clark was transported to Central Lock-up where he was booked with illegal possession of a stolen firearm, possession of marijuana, possession with the intent to distribute cocaine and tramadol and possession of a firearm while in of a possession of controlled dangerous substance.
