One Suspect Arrested, Two Still Wanted in Stabbing Incident on Chef Menteur Highway

The NOPD has arrested Shanta Richardson (pictured at left, DOB: 08-20-1993) in connection with a stabbing incident that occurred in the 8500 block of Chef Menteur Highway on October 3, 2017.

On the date of the incident, Richardson and two additional suspects – identified as Akyshala Richardson (pictured at center, DOB: 05-10-1996) and Fredricka Cage (pictured at right, DOB: 10-05-1973) were positively identified by the victim as the perpetrators in a stabbing incident at the location. Investigation shows that a knife and a stun gun were allegedly utilized by the subjects during the incident.

Richardson was located and arrested by Seventh District officers and charged with one count of aggravated battery by cutting. An arrest warrant has been obtained for Richardson on charges of principal to aggravated battery and simple battery, while an arrest warrant has been obtained for Cage on charges of aggravated second degree battery and simple battery.
