NOPD is looking for a vehicle taken in an unarmed carjacking last week, as well as the four women who participated in the incident.
A little before 3 p.m. on October 7, 2016, the victim reported that she was rear-ended in a parking lot in the 3600 block of Pine Street. She stated that a red four-door vehicle occupied by four unknown black females bumped into her Honda Civic. When she got out of her vehicle to check for damage, a passenger from the red vehicle ran past the victim, got into her Honda and fled south on Pine Street. The perpetrator is described as a black female wearing a baseball cap, brown shirt and black pants.
The stolen vehicle is described as a brown 2014 Honda Civic with Louisiana license plate #YYJ029. A photo of a similar make and model is included below.

Carjacking
Louisiana law states that Individuals convicted of carjacking shall be imprisoned at hard labor for not less than two years and for not more than 20 years, without benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
