Persons of Interest Sought in Murder on Morrison Road

The NOPD is seeking two persons of interest believed to possibly have information pertaining to the murder of Louis Perette, which occurred on September 14, 2016, in the 8700 block of Morrison Road.

At about 5 p.m., NOPD Seventh District officers responded to a call of a vehicle fire in the area. Upon arrival, officers discovered a burning vehicle located in a grassy area off of Morrison Road alongside a canal. New Orleans Fire Department personnel responded and extinguished the fire, at which time the body of a male victim – later identified as Perette – was found inside of the vehicle. Upon further investigation, detectives determined a homicide had occurred.

Investigation into the incident is ongoing. The two persons of interest, pictured below, are not wanted in connection with the incident at this time. Police are seeking the two individuals for questioning regarding this incident.
