Person of Interest Sought by NOPD in Murder on Poydras Street

The NOPD is looking to speak with a person of interest in regards to a murder that occurred on October 26, 2016, in the 2600 block of Poydras Street.

Jermaine Reynolds Jr. (DOB 02-21-1996) is not wanted in regards to this incident. However, investigators would like to speak with Reynolds concerning the incident.

At around 1:44 p.m., First District officers received a call of an aggravated battery by shooting in the area. When officers arrived, they observed a male victim in his early 20s suffering from gunshot wounds inside of an apartment. The victim was pronounced dead on the scene by EMS.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing and no further information is available at this time. The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased victim and official cause of death.
