Person of Interest Sought by NOPD in First District Shooting Investigation

Person of Interest Sought by NOPD in First District Shooting Investigation

The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating Darryl Alexander (pictured, black male, DOB: 11-18-2002) for questioning in the ongoing investigation of a shooting that occurred on November 5, 2023, in the 4300 block of South Carrollton Avenue.

In this incident, which occurred at about 9:09 p.m., an adult male was in his vehicle at the location when an unknown suspect reportedly fired several shots, striking the victim. The victim was transported to a local hospital via EMS.

Through investigation, NOPD First District detectives have developed Alexander as a person of interest. Alexander is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, detectives feel that he has knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
