The NOPD is seeking assistance in locating a vehicle of interest in the ongoing investigation of a double homicide that occurred on May 12, 2023, in the 1000 block of North Claiborne, as well as the occupant(s) of the vehicle at the time of the incident.

The shooting occurred at about 1:31 a.m. The pictured vehicle – a dark gray sedan with dark tinted windows, possibly a Honda, has been identified as a vehicle of interest in this investigation. 

Investigators believe the occupants were circling the neighborhood surrounding the area of the shooting in the above-pictured vehicle. As depicted in previously released video footage, the suspects were on foot at the time of the shooting and likely returned to this vehicle as it may have been parked on one of the back streets parallel or adjacent to North Claiborne.

NOPD Homicide Detectives are asking neighbors and patrons of nearby businesses to come forward with any relevant videos or information about the whereabouts or occupants of this vehicle on the night of the homicide.
