NOPD Seeking Vehicle in Fatal Hit-and-Run Investigation

NOPD Seeking Vehicle in Fatal Hit-and-Run Investigation

The NOPD is requesting assistance in locating a vehicle and its occupant(s) in the ongoing investigation of a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on November 25, 2023, on U.S. 90 near Earhart Boulevard.

The crash occurred on the elevated portion of U.S. 90 above Earhart Boulevard at about 7:09 p.m. Through investigation it was determined that the victim was walking with his bicycle on the elevated portion of roadway when he was struck from behind by a vehicle, which fled the scene.

The perpetrator vehicle is believed to be the pictured white Dodge Charger, which was traveling toward Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at the time the victim was struck. The suspect vehicle then fled the scene westbound on South Claiborne Avenue.

The perpetrator vehicle was seen to have a black hood and would have damage to the left driver’s side, including a damaged left headlight and a missing wheel flare.
