The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred in the early morning hours of November 25, 2022 in the Eighth District.
NOPD was notified of a shooting in the 300 block of Julia Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 26-year old black male victim lying on the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by EMS.
No further information is available at this time.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine official cause of death and release the victim's name upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
