NOPD Investigating Homicide in Third District

The NOPD is investigating a homicide that occurred today (November 21, 2020) in the 2500 block of Clover Street that left one person dead.

At about 12:18 p.m., NOPD Third District officers responded to a report of an aggravated battery by shooting at the location. Upon arrival, officers found an adult male victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was transported via EMS to a local hospital, where he was declared deceased.

Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person(s) responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are available at this time.

The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will identify the victim and official cause of death upon completion of autopsy and notification of family.
