Person of Interest Sought in Investigation of Double Homicide on Feliciana Street

The NOPD is seeking to locate Charun Davis (DOB: 05-14-1974), who is considered a person of interest in connection with the active investigation of the homicides of Cedric Burgess and Ray Certain that occurred on August 30, 2018 in the 2400 block of Feliciana Street.

On the date of the incident, Fifth District officers arrived on scene and discovered two adult male victims – later identified by as 41-year-old Burgess and 60-year-old Certain – deceased inside of the residence. Upon completion of autopsy, Orleans Parish Coroner’s officials later revealed that Burgess died as a result of a fatal gunshot wound, while Certain died as a result of sharp force injuries.

Through investigation, NOPD Homicide Unit detectives developed Davis as a person of interest in this investigation.

Davis is not wanted in connection with this incident. However, detectives feel he may have information valuable to the investigation and wish to question him.
